Structure: Two-story brick construction
Year of construction: 1902
This two-story brick warehouse was originally constructed in 1902 to serve as a storage facility for the Maizuru Naval Arsenal. It was used as a gun and ammunition depot until the end of the war, and later served as the city hall’s second building. It opened in 1994 as the Maizuru City Commemoration Hall. To maintain the building’s original brick appearance, the renovation employs a structural reinforcement method that involves inserting stainless steel pins directly into the bricks.
