The former official residence of the Commander-in-Chief of the Maizuru Naval District, built in 1901. It is a single-story wooden building with a partial Western-style architectural design. In the backyard, there is Isshin Pond, said to have been named by Commander-in-Chief Togo. The pond is shaped like the Japanese character for “”heart””.
